Siilk Kansas City Concert reviews
Rod Stewart Rocks
Rod Stewart, the showman, was amazing. My husband, girlfriend, and I really enjoyed this concert, a birthday present to us. We had seen him once before in the round a couple of years ago. The video that went along with the songs was very cool. Like the Rolling Stones, Rod gets better with age. Would love to see a concert like the one he did at Prince Albert Hall in England with all the contemporary classics, tux, and tails. Have it on DVD.
I don't understand the sound system at the ARCO. Saw Tina Turner there last October and her sound was 100% better. The music was so loud during one song that it drowned out everything, even obscured the tune and Rod singing. My friend who lives in Sacramento says the ARCO is notorious for an uneven/bad sound system.
If Rod is going to use his daughter in his act, he should teach her some of his moves. She is pretty, but that doesn't cut it when you can't sing or move. She sang two songs with about five words each, no expressions, just walked back and forth across the stage. The back-up singers were amazing and really wanted to get into the songs, but couldn't upstage her.
